Wednesday Word

The Wednesday Word - The Sunday Gospel through School on Wednesday

The Wednesday Word shares the Gospel with families in a unique way; it is structured around the Sunday Gospel, because evidence shows that Gospel values help family relationships thrive. Every Wednesday a ‘word’, inspired by the coming Sunday’s Gospel, will be suggested for families to talk about in the home.

During our Key Stage Wednesday Word assemblies, teachers will share the Gospel and the word of the week with the children, exploring the meaning of the scripture and how the WORD can help us in our lives today.

The Wednesday Word Family Time leaflet is designed in a friendly way so that all family members feel included. Families can share the Gospel and explore the word of the week further through enjoyable activities and prayer. It is informative, enjoyable, and helps families maintain a special closeness.

This Week’s Wednesday Word: GRATITUDE

We are reminded to thank God for the blessings in our lives – our families, friends and the love of those around us. We can show our gratitude through kind words, helping others and using the gifts God has given us.

Take a little time as a family this week to share what you are thankful for. Who could you say a special thank you to?
